<x-rich>I asked if someone can sell me one EMPY 8-spoke wheel to have it as a spare. I see it as a hassle to replace on the road an EMPY wheel with a flat with a standard, original Type 3 wheel - spare I have. The operation will require getting studs out and use standard lug bolts. Today I took a lug bolt (used on 1991 Jetta), chucked it in my lathe ( on threaded end), drilled a 29/64 " hole 1.25 deep and cut 1/2-20 thread about 1/2 long. The bolt's threaded end as then clamped in the vise ( .25 in the jaws) and then the tap went further. Soon the bolt clamped end separated, the tap taken out. I then chucked the bolt by the head and faced it next to the chamfered end. Now 4 nuts worked excellent and my wife Sofia will have an easier time. Anyway I am still will be happy to get an EMPY wheel as a spare. If someone faces same problem I can help. <fontfamily><param>Helvetica</param>Kind regards Ark Mirvis </fontfamily> </x-rich>
