Re: [T3] SB with IV engine--was Wasser engine

<x-flowed>Here's an interesting site, apparently with all the Audi models from 1965 to today. I remember the Audi 80 and 100 of the early seventies, but I don't remember the earlier ones at all.

Of course it confuses matters that some of these (and all of the VWs) had different names in the US to the rest of the world.

Ugh! yes, that's different - as odd as the 411 front, really. I've an Audi 50
on a set of Trump cards, and it is very like the early Golf and Polo in body
styling - many Polo engine components have parts starting 050, which I've
assumed showed its origins.

There are a few VW and Audi cars in the early 70s that were basically the same car, maybe with monir modifications, and re-badged. From the looks of these cars (Polo, Passat) I would think they originated at VW and were rebadged for Audi, even if the corresponding Audi product was released earlier in some cases.
