There are a few VW and Audi cars in the early 70s that were basically 
the same car, maybe with monir modifications, and re-badged. From the 
looks of these cars (Polo, Passat) I would think they originated at VW 
and were rebadged for Audi, even if the corresponding Audi product was 
released earlier in some cases.
