I looked it up after reading Everett's comment and sure enough the 4R4 
was used on Types 1 and 2 in 1961. But, according to the Type 3 
workshop manual, the only difference between the 4R4 and 4R6 was a 
redesign of the contact breaker plate, so other than for its relative 
rarity there's no real advantage in having one.
