Re: [T3] Low power until the engine warms up

Thanks for all the reponses to my problem. I can answer a few of the questions because
of notes I have from working on the car in the past...

Jim Adney asked:

I will check the brain (I should have an E brain for a 72 engine yes?) and pressure
sensor tomorrow. Are there any visual checks I can do to determine the pressure sensor
Or do I need to remove it for the part number? From reading the archives it sounded like
there were three pressure sensors used that were visually different. My throttle valve
switch is for a 72 (5-connectors); Temp. Sensor II is located on the intake air
distributor and my engine does not have a separate relay for the cold-start valve. My
injectors don't ground on the cylinder heads. My distributor is single vacuum #311 905
2051

The trigger points are cleaned. The distributor was rebuilt in September/October 2001
and I cleaned them before taking the car to the mechanic the last time and the mechanic
double-checked my work. And I re-checked them when I did the tune-up before posting to
the list.

Also, for the Throttle Valve Switch and the Pressure Sensor, the Bently has a procedure
to test it using the VW1218. Can I repeat this type of test with an ohmeter? Would I
test the resistance across which two of the five connectors on the switch? just
wondering.

Thanks again. Jim
