<x-charset iso-8859-1>You can also believe the latest factory information though :- VW factory service details (dated Aug 1981) are copied on my website, which is 5 deg before TDC with both vac hoses removed, and the details on resetting the idle speed while doing it and after reconnecting hoses. It works too, both on my dual vac 72 FI, and my dual vac 71 twin carb - one with hoses off, the other with them on. Aren't I lucky having the dual vac on both? Dave.
