Some of these symptoms are consistent with water in the gas, so I would get the overflow hose fixed before water in there damages the FI components. On a mosiac engine setup like this it is important to know EXACTLY what you have there for a FI system. I'd like to know which of the following you have: ECU, distributor, vacuum advance, pressure sensor. I note that 5 ATDC is the 72 timing setting, but it only works if you have the 72 distributor with both vacuum advance and retard AND the 72 intake air distributor AND if everything is fully functioning.
