This was probably what is called a "miss." It just means that for
one or more power strokes of your engine, nothing happened. If your
car is still FI it could either be a FI or ignition problem. This
might be an isolated incident or the start of something that you will
eventually have to find and fix. At this point there is no way to
tell.

It probably had nothing to do with the transmission. That is good
