Do I hear another engine removal Tech session is in the works? :-) Here I am all bent out of shape at having to pull the engine out of the Notch after only 6 years and John will have his out by the time Im done typing this! I have a low cylinder on my Berg engine, and have had trouble with the Right head with the seats sinking, They finally stopped doing that but Im not really going to touch the cylinder unless it gets worse, it runs fine the way it is but Im less than happy with Berg. Keith I am 99% sure the baffle plate is installed correctly. I just checked the 1/2 valves and both had slightly tight exhaust valves. After setting them I redid the compression check. #2 went up to 120 psi......very consistent with 3/4. #1 was still at 90-95 psi. 8^( I just dumped the oil and will be yanking the engine tonight to check out #1 properly. I will likely go to the larger later breather while I am at it and try to take care of a few other little things. Likely would have pulled the engine to change the breather anyway since the bolts that hold it on or inside the mag fan housing. Here we go again.....<G> Later, John Jaranson '66 Square (Sophy) '70 Fasty (Jane 2 - Type 3 Lead Sled wannabe) '71 Fasty (Jane -parts car due to rust) http://mywebpages.comcast.net/carartbyjohn/ http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jaransonT3/jaransonT3/ http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jaransonT3/2006Invasion/ http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jaransonT3/notavwclub/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
