The fuel is in a "jacket" surrounding the motor and it carries away the heat, or so I have read...Now, all that tangent said, I didn't think that the Type 3's fuel pump was fuel-cooled. Maybe the early ones were? Looking at the cutaway in my Bentley manual, I don't see where fuel could be flowing through the motor.
