The 311 "L" distributor is the stock FI dist for '68-9 and has one of the best advance curves you can find anywhere. You can ignore the FI trigger points installed in the side of it, but those points make this a taller distributor than the stock carb dizzy, so you'll want to make sure to use a SP wireset with right angle connectors to the dist cap. Otherwise, the wires will rub against the engine cover insulation and destroy it, and also eventually damage the wires. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
