Re: [T3] SB with IV engine--was Wasser engine

There are a few VW and Audi cars in the early 70s that were basically
the same car, maybe with monir modifications, and re-badged. From the
looks of these cars (Polo, Passat) I would think they originated at VW
and were rebadged for Audi, even if the corresponding Audi product was
released earlier in some cases.
And then you have shenanigans like the VW Fox sold in the USA from '86 -
'93 that was a Brazilian Polo (which was nothing like the European
Polo), which was kinda sorta a VW Dasher/Passat-cum-Audi Fox.
Bodywise/suspensionwise it was (mostly) mechanically different but
cosmetically similar, and it shared much from the VW-Audi parts bin, the
transmission was that of the B1/B2, the engine was that of the A1/A2,
odds and ends came from all sorts of sources. Early versions of this
Brazilian Polo even had a Type 1 aircooled engine! How cool would that
be to bring to a show?
