Re: [T3] T3 - More questions
<x-flowed>GaryG=> Where can I get back up lights?
Reverse lights are relatively easy to find and simple to wire up. They
may not have come on your car originally. The tricky bit is the
reverse-light switch. If you don't have one (look for an unused spade
contact or wire on the nose of the transaxle), you can get the
early-option switch, which bridges between the speedometer and the cable
to sense when you're moving backward.
=> it doesn't have enough power to get up some of these hills.
From that you can confidently conclude that it's far out of tune. When
it's dialed in, you'll be surprised at how peppy it is.
=> I've got two single-barrel Webers
Not stock.
=> Any ideas as to adjustments, or could it be something else?
The best procedure is always basic tuneup first -- valves, dwell, spark
timing -- before looking at carb adjustments. That said, if you have
stock heads it's not unlikely that the carbs are overfueling, and there
is very little info available on how to go about tuning them to the Type
3. Post the specific model of the carbs here and any details you can
find on them. It may be that someone else here has specific knowledge of
your carbs.
