 It sounds like you got a winner. If the trailing arm journals are fine, then 
the bearings are most likely also fine. The only other thing I would check is 
the external metal that was under the rubber bushings that held the beam in 
place. I find that water often collects there and causes rust. If that part is 
okay, then the beam itself is fine.
