[T3] ATF leak culprit?

Looks like I've found the leak. This is a full-sized pic that you can zoom

The flash really shows up the details well. The bottom left of the oil seal 
is very oily, and there is a track from the bottom of the center circle down 
towards the floor. Does this prove the oil seal has had it?

The entire area is extremely oily, as you can see. I would like to degrease 
it before I put the engine back. Is there anything I shouldn't spray with 
degreaser and/or carb spray? Is it OK to wash the degreaser off with water?
