I can't see up inside the housing, but all shift housings should have
the seal. I wouldn't think it would shift right if the brass bushing was
missing. 
There is also supposed to be a dust boot to seal where the trans housing
goes into the tunnel.
I have a couple used trannies here, but I am not sure if they have what
you need.
I won't be able to check them until sometime next week.
