You can either: 1) Plug the tube to the front of the IAD and use the early breater box and air cleaner, or, 2) Swap in a '72-3 breather box with the extra valve in it and connect that to the IAD. You will also need the '72-3 oil filler pipe that goes with this breather. For best results you should have the heads with the vented rocker boxes that these engines came with. Either one should work. I have the late breather box and filler pipe if you want to go that way. As for the Tee in your AAR line, that should be between the AAR and the IAD, and you'll have to plug the unused port. That port originally connected to the vacuum limiter, which is probably no longer there. This was also a '72-3 item only. Once you get this all plumbed up right, it sounds like you'll have to open up the idle adjustment to keep it from dying. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
