It sounds like you are doing everything right. It sounds like you have
some type of vacuum leak. I am thinking aux. air regulator, or the pipe
you describe on the back of the air dist. box. That may be for some
emission control device your don't have.
Can you get any pictures of how things are laid out hose wise. I could
post them on my web site if needed.
