I can imagine putting it above, thru the sheet that is part of the car's body; that certainly would make for one less thing that had to be disconnected from underneath. Bob Hoover has long suggested making a fitting to get that line thru whatever hole you choose. Use one of those 3/8" threaded bushings that are used in lamp fixtures and then solder a length of copper tubing into it. You then fix the bushing in the plate with 2 of the special bushing nuts and then bend the copper tubing to fit and point in exactly the direction you like. Steel tubing would actually be better, because it would not be as likely to work harden and break, but copper tubing is more readily available. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
