Do days higher than 5 ever show up? Sturmey Archer hubs, the usual 3-speeds we all grew up with are dated with a year and a month, but occasionally one comes across a month 13 and even a 14. I've seen about 3 of these in many years of bicycling experience, but I still don't know what to make of it. It's certainly possible that S-A divided the years some other way, but in that case I'd expect to see many more 13s, etc. Its also possible that they were thinking of some kind of model year thing and just wanted to continue production of a particular version into the next year, but S-A really didn't have model years, and there was very little change in their products over many decades. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
