I probably have a squareback right side rear door hinge. Let me know if you 
want me to dig for it. You're correct that this is probably the only way to 
correct this problem.

The important thing to understand is that those torsion bars are really strong 
and you can lose a finger or 3 in the blink of an eye if you have a careless 
moment. You have to be really prepared, and you will need to fashion some kind 
of special tool to pry things. A large screwdriver is not sufficient. You need 
something with a kind of hook on the end so that the torsion bar can't slip 
away from you.

Yes, you'll have to just loosen the rear end of the headliner and let it hang. 
Get it completely out of the way; you can glue it back in later.
