I hate to destroy the rubber. It's getting hard to find some of those pieces 
and we've had too many people who cut theirs up first and then came back and 
asked where to buy replacements. It's not at all hard to take these windows out 
while still preserving the rubber.

Why twice? Nylon is good, but I'd suggest using a slightly larger rope just to 
spread the slot wider. Even 1/4" rops isn't too large since it flattens in the 
groove.

Using a mixture of 1:1 mixture of water and liquid dishwashing soap is a lot 
cheaper and cleans up perfectly with a wet sponge.
