i have found using a roofers utility knife is the perfect tool to simply cut the old rubber around the windshield to make it a snap to take the glass out. when you apply the rope ( i suggest 1/8" nylon) make sure to wrap it twice around the inside groove and leave 6" on both ends of the rope at the very bottom of the glass. I use armor all to lubricate rubber before installation. The outside person simply centers the glass, and pushes on the RUBBER ONLY not the seal as the person on the inside slowly pulls the rope simultaneously. I start from the bottom groove first, as the reason i leave my 6" starter rope at the bottom. As Jim stated make sure you put the metal trim in the rubber 'v' groove before you install the rubber on the glass itself. Lube every thing good if possible, also you may want to let the rubber sit on the hot ground in the sun 30 minutes before installation. good luck, rob __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
