	Odds are that you're missing the AT kickdown switch, then. 
You can try to rig something up, but you'll probably want to 
downshift by hand when you need the "extra power" of higher revs.

	Steve, the Clymer manuals really are not very good.  Do 
yourself and your car a favor and get a Bentley.  They appear often 
on eBay, and with a little luck you can get one in great shape for 
under ten bucks.  The Haynes is a good backup.
