I have to admit that the reason I caught this was that I made the same 
mistake in a recommendation to Mike W. a couple of years ago. I'm amazed 
and grateful that after all the trouble Mike went to, to install the FI gaskets at 
my recommendation, he still talks to me.  ;-)  

He found that the studs on his heads were too short for that thicker gasket 
and in the process of trying to fix that, I think a stud got broken or stripped. 
OTOH, this was with aftermarket manifolds.
