I agree that this can be done, but it cost no more and is a LOT easier to get 
the right part. While the type 3 coolers may be somewhat hard to find in the 
outside world, they are readily available from people on this list.

Of course, we all have our stories of things we were forced to do "once upon 
a time" before we discovered there was a better way.   ;-)
