<x-charset iso-8859-1>> somehow, so that they were actually adjusted but just wouldn't > close/contact when they had the opportunity? I had tried adjusting them after I noticed a problem with the contacts but that didn't help. They were pitted pretty bad, too. The new set of points adjusted just fine. They may have been sticking (as you mentioned). I did see notice the plastic cap that rides the dizzy shaft was pretty much shot. > Huh, reversed?? It shouldn't matter. You're talking about the big > high voltage wire from the coil to the dist cap, right? On my wires, one end has a VERY short brass nose and the other has a long brass nose, so I guess I reversed the ends by mistake when I was fiddling around. (Both ends have an identical rubber grommet).
