<x-flowed>Wow, that was an old message being brought back up. I was able to get all the bleeders on the car free. Each one expels fluid when it is bleed-ed. Rear wheel cyl's are in awesome shape. The calipers were another story. The pistons were nasty and wouldnt retract. I decided my best bet would be new calipers. A few places had new "universal" calipers for the early cars. They have a top and bottom bleeder. I'm going to put on the new calipers, rotors and pads and rear shoes, then use the stock master, rear wheel cyl's and drums. The E-brake cables are good as new. IF I end up with having a brake problem down the road, I'll still have E-brakes and at least one circut still working. Plus the car will be a summer only toy so I dont have to depend on it everyday. That's what my 97 Golf is for...
