Jacob Schroeder 72 Squareback Wrote: I'm sure this is going to be painful, especially if sand got into the inner workings of the sun roof and into the grease. Let me know what I need to do. Hopefully you guys will have some good news for me... I just wanted to say I feel for you! I made the mistake of sandblasting a VW once. The info so far is excellent. From my experience I wanted to add: Someone suggested using a cable to clean the drains for the sunroof. Don't throw away the cable. I am not familiar with Squarebacks, but every vent and drain and drain hole and the engine fresh air ducts etc,etc,etc... will give you problems and need to be cleaned. Did they sandblast just the roof? If so you are probably OK. I had the whole car sandblasted and when I sold the car years later sand was still falling out of places. Good luck. Mike in Tucson.
