<x-charset iso-8859-1> Jacob , If you need any help with info on flexplate problems to avoid, just let me know. I have broken 3 NOS plates before and all three including two cracked torque converters were caused by my own assembly proceedure. I have perfected the proceedure after some study at some tranny shops, reading and experience, I drive alot I have driven 4000 miles in about a month and a half. My autotrany setup is just over a year old with no problems, still original auto tranny with no rebuild, but still had to reaseal it better (so dry on the outside that it is rusting). Main problem was the wrong glandnut or the thickness of the 'right' glandnut. I can explain just let me know. Welding flexplates, usually does not hold well in the lonbg run. Right now I am having ignition problems. For the amount of driving I do, this type of car holds up very well. My sister's Previa has cost a fortune in repairs this year as well as my other sister's Cabriolet and also My brother's 2 year old Camery has been in the shop 5 times this year for big work. I come from a family of 8 sblings that all drive alot , even though they are old, my car as well as my wife's old Volvo are considered the most reliable and inexpensive to maintain in the family. The other family members cars have had lots of problems this year, guess who's car gets borrowed most for those emergencies ? Fixing all problems and improving the car's relaibility and maintainability has been my objective. I think I caused carbonation in my # 3 and the crossfiring is probably due to my giant coil or contaminated cap, probably . We will see. Problems that occur just like that are usually self inflicted. Chin up ! Your car will be humming down the street with the new flexplate and front seal.
