Re: [T3] Jacob your car will be humming again soon

<x-flowed>I've actually been lurking around here long enough to have heard about your gland nut situation. My engine has gone in without a hitch every time I put it in. I drove it for many years before the flex plate rattle came about earlier this year. I just welded it because I drive my car daily, couldn't find a new plate quickly, and wanted to be back on the road. When it broke again, I assumed inadequate welds were the cause and welded it better. Then the Parma trip. I have no idea what caused the flex plate to go out in the first place. I do have a question for you or any other AT driver though. Does the transmission engage instantly when you put it in Drive or Reverse? Mine hesitates for about a full second. Talking with Keith at Toby's on Monday night I beleive my hesitation problems may be due to problems deep in the transmission. Like, maybe, not enough pressure from the fluid pump. Anyway, I'm not going to just slap the new driveplate and main seal in and start driving. I'm going to try to get it driving right. In the mean time, screw it, I'm driving my Toyota.
