I agree with Brians thoughts here, but with stock or near stock motors FI takes the cake. Yes the FI really doesnt like lumpy cams... bigger valves I think can be OK and as for the 050.. you got to get crafty with an FI dist but you can change the curve to suit your needs. You could push a 150 HP with L jet, and probably D jet, but youd need better flowing manifolds, larger injectors, and some other things... and ALOT of knowlege and practice... now here is where stock open-loop FI loses its practicality. With my Notch Im really thinking about L jet... cause I know it can handle the larger valves and lumpier cam of the 75 Opel I have over the 74, I also know that you can boost the HP from 80 stock to 110 by adding the flat top pistons and mild porting and retain all the drivibility of the stock FI without modification which says that the Ljet is more adaptive. There are also more adjustments you can make on L jet... Oh boy... now Im getting in the Mood....
