Dual carbs, properly set up for the engine will give you the same power as FI... most carbs are jetted wrong, the wrong size or other problems and give less power than FI. Carbs, even the proper ones, will give much poorer performance over the lower end of the temperature range and at high altitude than FI... and the stalling with an automatic is much more of a PAIN to deal with.
