The method I saw was to remove all the fuses (you WERE going to clean the corrosion off them anyway, right?) and connect a test light between the battery (+) post and the cable. The cable is disconnected from the battery in this case, so the circuit would look like this: __________+_____wire___lamp____cable____ | | | battery | ----------- I know it's a crude sketch, but basically you're going to insert the light in the line. I would use an audible tester (like that stupid seat-belt buzzer in the later models - works great to remind me to switch off my amplifier). Then, if you're still reading, replace the fuses one at a time until the light (or buzzer) comes on. That fuse is the circuit that is either switched on or has a short circuit.
