Cracked right at the hose clamp. Not sure how you can fry a steel hose? Are all your input connections in place so that you a‰ß$Ÿ ng enough air into the heat exchangers to keep them at a reasonable temp? If you have a "performance" exhaust that omits the rear heat exchangers, then you may have lost the cheap hoses that carry the air from the fan housing to the lower heat exchangers. This would let them get very hot and might explain your problem. Of course if you don't have any incoming air, there is no point in worrying about the output hoses.
