And its > gonna get a oil change to Sounds like you didn't bother to hook up a vacuum line to the vacuum modulator. You will have to do that. Unfortunately, there is a special VM for carbs, and I don't know if it is available anywhere. Even with the VM installed and properly adjusted (yes!) the 2-3 shift only happens around 45 mph with moderate throttle. With more throttle, or with the hose left off, the shift point will be even higher.
