Volks: A young woman in Montreal has posted a message to the (informal) type4 list looking for a part for her '73 type 4, which, upon further inquiry, turns out to the the manifold pressure sensor, VW part # 022 906 051 E, Bosch Part # 0 280 100 049. Am I right in my surmise that the equivalent '73 type 3 sensor, 311 906 051E/0 280 100 106 would be the same part (since only the vehicle sequence is different, with the part type and version number are the same), or perhaps, close enough to work (well)?
