What year is your type 3? If one wheel has play that you can't feel 
in the other, then you should investigate and correct the reason for 
this. How did you "shake" the tires? Which side has play? 

Get someone else to shake the tire from 12 O'clock while you stick 
your finger in the grease where the upper trailing arm emerges from 
the axle beam and see if that is where the play is.
