I have bent a swing arm. What advice do you have for removal/replacement? I have a donor car standing by. I also have had someone run up the back of me in traffic and stove in the panel which contains the coolling ducts. The Red Baron is getting very hot! Is there an easy eay of replacing the outer skin? Also, just out of curiosity, I have just bought a second 1971 Fastback. One has 4 wee louvre things in the rear pillar and a fan heater, the other has no louvre and no fan, but the usual heater controls by the handbrake.I can't find the colour in the VW sales brochure for that year and I know it's original colour. Car is 6…>W ey with a black leatherette interior. The shape of the rear shelf differs between the two cars too - the louvred/fanned one has a stepped rear shelf, the no louvre one has a flat shelf. Our registration tags (here in New Zealand) just show the year the car was first registered in the country - does that paint and trim sound like an earlier model? Are all parts intercompatible?
