That's more or lessv݌'cept the someone was VW. The '66s (and 
earlier?) came with an upper anchor on the door post, an anchor on the 
tunnel for the loop, and I gather a weak understanding of physics. But 
I've seen it illustrated in the literature, as well. I thought it was 
pretty wacky, too, when I was diggin' around under my old carpet looking 
for the lower doorside anchor.
