It was a Delta Mark 10 CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition). I drove it in various cars for many years and I love it and the idea of it. The CD ignitions use the OE points and the later models came with a switch that allowed for instant changover. I don't like the current generation of in-the-dist electronic ignitions because they require a specially modified rotor to w>çis means that a common repair part is no longer common. On the other hand I can't remember the last time I had a genuine Bosch rotor fail, if ever. Does anyone know if the Delta CDI ignitions are still being made by anyone out there; the company was in Colorado.
