I don't really have any opinions on whether any of these things 
SHOULD be necessary, but if you decide to try them....

There is no point in more than 1 fuel pump. If you have an 
overheating problem causing vapor lock, then an electric pump under 
the gas tank is the way to go. That alone will cure any such problem. 
If it does not cure your symptoms, then it means that vapor lock was 
not the cause.

If you decide to install an electric pump you really MUST do 
something in the way of a safety interlock so the pump will shut off 
in case of an accident. A co-worker of mine died in his burning BMW 
2002 about 15 years ago. He had added an aftermarket electric pump. 
He also figured that the odds against anything like this happening to 
him were vanishingly small. He was wrong. Now he is dead.

Trust me. This is NOT the way any of us want to go.
