Hi All. This is my first venture on to this, but I've been reading for a while. My 1972 Squareback is a very happy yellow and I want to touch up a few of the small dots of rust around the door windows and also some chips on the nose. I have been looking for a yellow to come close, but have only found either very pale yellows or very tan yellows in parts stores. Does anyone know where I could find some? Or do I just need to deal with what I can get? Do you suggest primer too, or just the touch up paint? Also, I have a question about shifting and RPM's. Which is harder on an engine - letting it get to higher RPM's before shifting or shifting too soon and feeling like it's on the edge of bogging down? I was thinking about it after teaching my girlfriend how to drive a manual transmission, but wasn't sure. Any input?
