Who is writing this stuff?

The german technical inspection doesn't sent vehicles to the junkyard
regulary. They want to see your brakes and lights work and check for
structural rust. They can be bad, but are nowhere near as bad as their
rep.
Lack of interest? Classic car freaks are in the minority everywhere.
Primitive? What do you think the average American thinks of a Type III.
What does your US VW dealer think. He won't be thinking "uh, high tech"
when you drive up in a Square.
