<< Soon a good day will be one where we get to see the sunny side of 0 F! >> Man, I thought I was hardcore because I drive my notch every day in AZ. What a wimp I am, oh by the way, I'm still using my window mounted swamp cooler and I don't even know if my heater is hooked up. Now for my ???, I went "round a bend" today and suddenly lost all ability to shift into gear. I got safely into a parking lot only after grinding into second, (ouch). Heres the details: Clutch pedal feels much stiffer, like it doesn't want to go down all the way, used to go down smoothly. Car starts fine, but refuses to go into gear, even with clutch forced all the way down, can find all gears with the engine off though. Disk and pressure plate replaced 4 years ago, cable 6 mos. old and looks fine, fluid fine (checked every oil change), everything else was there when I got the car. No bad noises. Got it towed home safely and I plan to drop the engine tomorrow and take a look, any suggestions? What to look for? -Jim D -'65 "send it"back -city bus (for tomorrow) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
