Re: Hello and a few questions

Johnny=> I just bought a '65 Type 3 Ghia and am going to
      => need some help.

For general mechanical questions you're in the right place. For
information specific to your car, you might like to join the VW type 34
Karmann Ghia Registry. The Registry offers quarterly newsletter,
bimonthly member ads, public and members-only Websites, and a mailing
list not unlike this one. Check us out on the Web at type34.org.

Concerning your voltage drops, RMM sells a low-capacity 12-to-6 drop
that wires up quite simply for your clock and costs about 20 bucks.
On the radio, your note sounds fairly sophisticated on this sort of
thing, but just in case: have you checked to make sure it doesn't have
an onboard voltage switch? On mine (AM/FM/SW) there's a plug in
the power section that I can flip 180, marked 6 and 12.
