Re: Side wind

ALL light weight cars have this problem, not just T-3's. Are you running the stock 6.0-15 tires? If you view this wind as a serious problem, you might want to go to a wider tread and lower (stiffer) sidewall tire.

Otherwise, here's what I do when the winds pick up:

Grab the steering wheel at 12:00 with BOTH hands.
Lean forward a little in your seat, just so that your back is not up against the seat back.

Now when the winds push the car to the left, your body will naturally lean to the right (Physics 101) and automatically steer the car to the right, countering the wind's force. Physics will start your turn probably before you realize you NEED to counter. (Vise-versa for wind pushing to right)

Then all you do is hold the wheel in this position untill the wind changes.

Pretty simple.

I see it as "Al against the Elements" .

OK, it keeps me awake on long monotonous drives...

Big Al

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
