Re: Hello and a few questions

<html><HTML>
Hiya Steven!

<P>Thanks for the advice.&nbsp; I never thought of looking for the voltage
switch.&nbsp; My brother's '65 Type 1 has the stock radio in it and it
has "the switch."&nbsp; I'll take a look at it in the morning(long late
night!).&nbsp; As for The Type 34 Registry, my membership form and check
was sent Monday night.&nbsp; As soon as the check gets to Lee, I'll get
access to the Members Only pages on their web page.&nbsp; I hear that there
are 6 - 12 volt tips there.&nbsp; Once again, thanks!

For general mechanical questions you're in the right place. For&nbsp;
information specific to your car, you might like to join the VW type 34&nbsp;
Karmann Ghia Registry. The Registry offers quarterly newsletter,&nbsp;
bimonthly member ads, public and members-only Websites, and a mailing&nbsp;
list not unlike this one. Check us out on the Web at type34.org.

Concerning your voltage drops, RMM sells a low-capacity 12-to-6 drop&nbsp;
that wires up quite simply for your clock and costs about 20 bucks.&nbsp;
On the radio, your note sounds fairly sophisticated on this sort of&nbsp;
thing, but just in case: have you checked to make sure it doesn't have&nbsp;
an onboard voltage switch? On mine (AM/FM/SW) there's a plug in&nbsp;
the power section that I can flip 180, marked 6 and 12.
