Hello all, I have to pull the old oil pump on my 69 type III engine...the tool to use is the oil pump puller, this set with a U-shaped bracket with a hole in the center, a 3" long stud with a little bar welded on one end (forming a "T"), and a nut (fits on the stud). My question: how do I use this to pull the pump? My guess is that the top of the "T" fits inside the oil pump *somehow*...the U-shaped bracket is then placed onto the stud (now sticking out of the oil pump) to the two ends (the tops of the "U") touch the case on either side of the oil pump...the nut is threaded onto the stud and tightened to pull out the pump. Does that sound correct?
