Short time fixes work for a week, but then it starts all over again. * This is a common problem that I have no easy answer for. I can tell * you that none of the brake squeal products that I have tried did any * good at all. I have always found that disassembling and reassembling * the brakes always gave me a couple of day of improvement. If I tried * any of the aftermarket "fixes" I got the same. I have done the following in the last eight months after having terrible brake squeal: Replaced: 1. front rotors 2. pads (twice) - no uneven pad wear 3. calipers (Varga replacements) 4. fluid 5. turned the rotors on a lathe after only driving 1,700 km 6. tightened fr wheel bearings once a month even if they are not loose The only thing left is to replace my master cylinder and that will happen in a few weeks. The squeal is bad in the morning or when the brakes are cold. Even with all of this work and new parts, my brakes pull to the left. Thus, I believe that the master cylinder may in part be the culprit. However, the noise is really annoying and will not go away. What to do? Patrick
